1、Developing green sea components
The main products of Linyi Dazheng special fiber new material Co., Ltd. is island composite spun. This kind of composite fiber is produced with two kinds of raw materials. The components that are disposed of in the following process are called "sea components", and the components retained in the final products are called "island components". This product was invented in Japan and then produced in Koran, Taiwan and China. Factories producing this product appeared in Chinese mainland from last ten years. And Dazheng special fiber is the largest island composite fiber factory in Chinese mainland.
Up to now, the sea components used in island composite fiber factories in various countries and regions are mainly alkali soluble PET chips and low-density polythene chips. Using the two materials as sea components will not only lead to certain defects and limitations in product quality, but also cause different degrees of damage to the environment.
Specifically, the disadvantage of alkali soluble PET chip as sea components is that sodium hydroxide has to be used to remove the alkali soluble polyester composition from the fiber. This process is a chemical reaction. Both alkali soluble polyester and sodium hydroxide can not be decomposed and recycled, resulting in resource waste and environmental damage. The disadvantage of using low-density polyethylene as sea components is that toluene is needed as a solvent to remove polythene from the fiber. As a highly volatile and toxic organic substance, toluene will not only damage the health of employees in the production process, but also remains in the finished product, which has a certain impact on the health of the final consumers.
In view of the defects of the two commonly used raw materials as sea components, we have developed the raw materials “A” with the following features as sea components (express with code A for confidentiality) with Shanghai Synthetic Fiber Research Institute for the purpose of environmental protection. Firstly, raw material A can be blended with conventional polyester, all kinds of modified polyester, corn fiber and other island components to spin and make full use of the advantages of all kinds of modified polyester. Secondly, the reduction process is a physical reaction, which does not need high temperature and high pressure conditions and does not produce toxic and harmful substances. Thirdly, both the sea components and the solvents for reduction can be recycled. Fourthly, more cost-effective. The total cost is not higher than the whole cost of existing sea components.
At present, the sea island fiber produced with the new raw material “A”and conventional polyester has produced the final products whose physical properties are sufficient to meet the market requirements. It is expected that mass production will be realized by the end of 2021, and it is expected to replace all the existing fiber products using alkali soluble polyester and polythene as sea components in 2025.
2、 Produce colored fiber according to the requirements of customers
In order to pursue the visual effect, some downstream customers need colored fiber. There are two ways to accomplish. One is to purchase white fiber and color it through dyeing, the other is to add corresponding color masterbatch when producing fiber. Dyeing will produce a lot of wastewater. On the one hand, it will lead to a greater shortage of water resources. On the other hand, it requires to invest plenty of money to treat wastewater. The direct discharge of substandard wastewater will ruin the environment more seriously.
By adding masterbatch of corresponding color in the fiber production process, we directly provide customers with the required colored fiber, which doesn’t need further dyeing process. This not only protects the environment, but also helps to improve the color fastness, dry and wet physical properties of colored fiber improving the product quality.
3、 Using recycled materials
In order to fulfill more social responsibilities and protect the environment. We use recycled nylon chips and recycled polyester chips to replace original nylon chips and original polyester chips. Using renewable raw materials, we reduce the consumption of oil, reduce the wastage, and protect the environment.
The recycled nylon chips we buy are produced through the following processes: Firstly, recycle the blocks, waste silk and unqualified products produced in the production of nylon filament and spun. Secondly, select and clean the impurities in these products to ensure that the impurity content meets the processing requirements. Thirdly, the clean waste can be sold after crushing, melting at high temperature, wire drawing, cutting, drying and packaging. The production process of recycled polyester chips is basically as same as nylon.
4、 Develop the separation technology of polyester and cotton, open up the channel of textile recycling.
In order to achieve the functions of warmth retention, moisture absorption and perspiration of textiles, most of the textiles are produced by blending polyester with cotton, which increases the difficulty of recycling and makes it difficult for many textiles to be recycled after being discarded, resulting the waste of resources and causing damage to the environment. If this technology can be successfully developed, a large number of polyester cotton blended products can be decomposed into cotton and polyester, and return to the original state through processing. It is beneficial to our environment and society certainly. We have commissioned Shanghai Synthetic Fiber Research Institute to develop this separation technology and have achieved initial results. It is expected that mass production can be realized by the end of 2022.
